Wednesday Night Pizza and Meeting for Worship
We would like to invite you to join us for a slice of pizza and a 20-30 minute meeting for worship in the Quaker Style. All religious (and non religious) backgrounds are welcome! We will be offering our Wednesday night meetings through the end of August. If they are popular we will look into continuing into the fall!
Friends gather at the Meeting House on Union Street to sit together in scilence to wait on the movement of the spirit.
At 6pm you are welcome to come and grab some pizza and talk with Friends. Around 6:30pm we will gather in the Meeting house for about a half hour of silent worship. During the silent Meeting you are invited to enjoy that illusive peace and quiet that seems to get harder and harder to find. All ages are welcome to join us. Don't be worried about fidgity kiddos. They are more than welcome to bring a book ( to tackle their summer reading?) or small children can bring a small do-dad to fiddle with. Please come as often as you are able. If you miss a week you can jump right back in the next time you join us.
Our goal is to introduce our community to the beauty of the Quaker way of worship and to create a time in the middle of our busy weeks to spend time together with our friends and families unplugged.
There is no dress code. Come dressed comfortably for the weater. The Union Street meeting house is cliamte controlled and handicap accessable. If you have any questions message us on facebook, call us at the office at 609-953-8914, or email us at [email protected] (or you can ask a Quaker!)
