The Peace and Social Concerns Committee members are prioritizing their focus on poverty and food insecurity. This is due to increased hardships families have faced due to the pandemic.  Donations have been made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Head Start families and the Al-Nasr Mosque.

The pandemic has also affected another of the committee’s projects. The welcome bags distributed to the migrant workers this past spring contained masks made by meeting members along with the usual personal care products etc.

The Peace and Social Concerns Committee makes an effort to collaborate with local organizations. These include the Medford Volunteer Center, the Migrant Worker Outreach Program and Serve the City.
