WomanLore (with Betsy Means) to perform Alicia
Niles Public Library presents Alicia: My Story, adapted and performed by our own Betsy Means on Thursday, September 21 at 7pm.
It is important to know the history of the Holocaust. The story has to be remembered, and in order to be remembered it has to be seen and told. There have been many accounts of survival during the Holocaust, but very few of a woman’s active heroism-particularly if that woman was a young girl when she began saving lives of people she did not know. Alicia faced a terrifying and violent world and managed to retain her faith in humanity, in God, and in her people.
