We hope that Attenders, Seekers, Friends, and Anyone interested in exploring the fundamental aspects of Quakerism will consider participating in this year's LFF "Newcomers Group", which will be beginning soon.
We’ll meet for discussion (and some Worship Sharing) as we follow the curriculum presented in "Exploring Quakerism; A Study Guide", which aims to promote a deeper understanding of Quakerism among Unprogrammed Friends. Topics include "Quaker Faith and Practice", "Honoring the Spirit Within", "Quaker Faith in Action", "Quaker Process", and many others.
For each meeting, there will be a very short reading from the Study Guide, and the meetings themselves usually last approx. 1-2 hours.  The Group will be fostered by Suzanne Siverling (who's led previous sessions, and contributed to the curriculum development) with assistance from Joe Rockey.
As they've proved to be in past, these get-togethers should be valuable for all who seek re-illumination of the inner light, and an opportunity to share their own faith journeys.  By better understanding our Quaker history, we hope to set our feet upon a path leading to spiritual growth and a closer binding within our own diverse Meeting for Worship.
Once we know who'll be attending, we'll work with everyone to set a date and time for the meetings.  Please join us by notifying Suzanne (suzz@aol.com / 224 789-8558) or Joe (jrockey@ameritech.net / 847 432-7846) of your interest via email, telephone, or in person.
