Gentle Reminder:

The names and contact information in our Kennett Meeting Directory are not to be used to mass-mail information (other than Meeting-generated communications). The Meeting wants to know what our members are “up to and into”, and Friends are welcome to share leadings, concerns and other activities in many ways: through personal interactions and announcements on Sundays, through submissions to the newsletter for distribution to everyone, through discussions at our 9:30 time slot, and through bringing concerns to committees, or even Meeting for Business. Email Sarah to learn more.

Join us in group meditation practice the first Wednesday of every month (Nov. 7),  5-6 pm. Meet in the Meeting House Library.

PIES for the holidays

Kennett Meeting is having a pie sale! These are really good fruit pies, from an orchard in Morgantown. We are selling them for $15 each and KMM will receive $6 from every pie sold, so it is really worthy.

Pre-orders ONLY --  deadline for orders is November 5th.

Chose from:

·      Old Fashioned Apple

·      Old Fashioned Apple with Caramel Walnut Topping

·      Apple Crumb

·      Strawberry Rhubarb

·      Blackberry

·      Cherry Crumb

Each 9" pie is frozen, shrink-wrapped and boxed for you. Baking instructions are included.

Pick up and pay for your pies on Saturday November 17th (10am - 12pm & 2pm - 4pm) or Sunday November 18th after Meeting for Worship.

More PIES:

Fairville Friends School is selling (ready-to-serve) Linvilla pies.

Order both! Order from Andrea Puskar. See options here

Eleventh Query - Witnessing in the World: Education

  • What does our meeting do to support and improve public education?

  • What help do we provide for the children and adults in our meeting to pursue their educational goals?

  • What is our meeting’s role in support for Friends’ education? If our meeting is connected to a Friends school or schools, does this relationship nurture spiritual life and the manifestation of Friends principles?

  • Do we enable children in our meeting to attend a Friends school? Does our meeting work with the family to consider all available means of support?

  • How do I show my concern for the improvement of public education in my community?

  • Do I demonstrate my encouragement and support for Friends education through awareness and service?
