In Memoriam
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of long-time Kennett Member Peg Baker. Though in hospice since October, Peg never lost her smile and positive outlook. She died in the early hours last Sunday, April 29, following a day of visits from many friends and loved ones. The memorial service is being planned for June 16th at 1:00 pm at Kennett Friends Meeting. More details to follow.

We also extend our condolences and support to Scudder Stevens, on the death of his mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Stevens. There will be a memorial service for her, in the manner of Friends, on May 12th at 2pm in the Activities Center at Kendal.

Garden Hoses Needed
Old Kennett Committee is looking to borrow a good number of garden hoses for the next few months, as they get the planting in the meadow established. Please contact Margaret Moore if you have any to lend.

Kennett Meeting's Friends for Immigrant Support Group is sponsoring a local collective in hosting a
Citizenship Day on May 19, 2018 at Kennett Friends Meeting from 1:00PM - 5:00PM.
If you or someone you know is a Permanent Resident that wants to become a US citizen but has not been able to afford legal representation to fill out the form, come to Citizenship Day! All Permanent Residents will be screened for eligibility. Eligible applicants will have their applications prepared for free. All completed applications will be reviewed by our experienced immigration attorneys. If you have questions, call 484-868-4814 for more information!
Volunteers are needed. Please contact Susan Singer (ssinger120@gmail.com) or
Lindsey Sweet (lindseydulce@gmail.com) to be put on the volunteer list. All volunteers will have assigned roles and there will be training the day of just before the event.

Friends Home Seeks Transportation Volunteers

There are residents of Friends Home who have local doctors appointments and no available transportation; there is no family or the family cannot help. These folks need a person to drive them and also serve as a companion -- walking them in for the appointment and perhaps helping them further process the results or the visit. Friends Home insurance would cover residents in our care during transportation.

Please contact Karen-Lee Brofee (klbrofee@gmail.com) if you are able to help.

PYM's Spring Family Overnight will be May 26-27, and will be held at the Burlington Meeting House and Conference Center.

Loads of fun for K-5th graders and their families.
