Home is Here is a national coalition campaign in support of DACA and TPS legislation in support of immigrants who make this country stronger. This Sunday Kennett Friends will be hosting 33 people who have been marching from NYC for over a week, with the intent of arriving in Washington DC on Nov. 12, the day the US Supreme Court hears the DACA case. Activities for the day:
9:30 am -- Three morning options:
  • Peace program (directed towards younger children) including discussion on being a welcoming neighbor.
  • Discussion about the the marchers, the court case, and our immigrant neighbors.
  • Treat-baking in the kitchen, to go along with the dinner we are serving them later (all welcome- see below*).
10:45 Gathering
11 am Worship
noon - fellowship and SET UP to receive our guests 
 
5:00 pm *Welcome-group assembles at the MH. ALL ARE WELCOME! Supporters from the community, the Meeting, and anyone wishing to provide support to the marchers. 
5:30 (ish) Marchers arrive (from Media, PA)
6-7 pm Short informational program led by march leaders and community organizers
7 pm Dinner (all welcome)
8 pm Clean up from dinner, Set up for sleeping
