Delaware Peace Week Event

Andrea DeKoter of the National Park Service will speak about “Commemorating the Suffrage Centennial at Women’s Rights National Historical Park,” the site of the trailblazing 1848 Seneca Falls convention for women’s rights.

Researcher Carol Scott will present “2019 Delaware Women's Hall of Fame Awardee Blanche Williams Stubbs: A Prominent Change Agent Forgotten by History” about this African-American suffragist’s work to secure voting rights for women.

Former Judge Susan Del Pesco will discuss “Memories from a Long Journey—the 19th Amendment” about some of the other Delaware people and events that contributed to the 1919–1920 passage and ratification of the amendment to the United States Constitution.

An opportunity for questions and answers will follow each talk.
