CALN QUARTER'S SWATARA 2020 VIRTUAL PLENARY AND DISCUSSION: GROWING OUR MEETINGS
Growing Our Meetings
How does a meeting attract and retain new members?
Caln Quarter has created a Zoom session entirely focused on that question, with an offer for continued learning and engagement. Originally created for the spring Camp Swatara program, it will now be online, May 2, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
The presenters will convey information and concrete ideas about membership development that Friends can bring back to their Meetings for consideration. Topics include:
-
Findings of Facts on Growth study on expanding churches
-
Digital outreach
-
Appealing to the unchurched
-
Integrating newcomers
-
Optimizing the meeting’s physical presence in the community
-
Obtaining fundings from PYM’s Membership Development Granting Group
Participants will have the opportunity to discuss ideas in a break-out group and to submit questions to panelists.
There will also be an invitation to join the 2020-2021 Membership Development Zoom Series. This working group will select subjects, listen to speakers, and discuss best practices.
