Julian Grant and Kesaya Noda chat following his lively lecture on his odyssey to live among Cuban Quakers for six months

On Saturday, May 13, 2017, Quakers attended a fascinating talk by Julian Grant who lived and worshiped with Cuban Quakers from November, 2016 - April, 2017. Having just graduated from St. Andrews University in Scotland, Julian had a leading to explore the depths of his own faith while living among Cuban Quakers who have practiced their unique style of worship in the relative isolation of their island nation.

Julian's trip was approved by Hanover Friends Meeting, Northwest Quarterly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), and New England Yearly Meeting (NEYM). NEYM's Puente de Amigos Committee has promoted a spiritual relationship with Cuban Quakers for 26 years. In addition to learning more about their faith traditions, Julian taught English classes and introduced the competitive game of Ultimate Frisbee to Cuban youth.
