Hospitality Committee

Organizes, along with building and grounds committee, workdays where members and attendees can participate in the care of maintenance of the meetinghouse.

Sponsors activities including craft bazaar, Quaker dinners, movie night, concerts or other activities that bring in the public and garner donations.

Organizes the cleaning of the kitchen appliances and equipment on a routine basis. Provides instructions to all volunteers for the use of all appliances.

Keeps meetinghouse supplied with cleaning supplies, kitchen items and food (coffee, juice, condiments etc.)

Promotes outreach and inclusion by:

     Collaborating to create events that reach a wider community - Friends & friends;

     Helping to organize hospitality for visiting friends;

     Overseeing and providing, on a rotating basis, a schedule for the set up and close up of after meeting social hour;

     Overseeing and providing refreshments for meeting activities; Helping with potluck meals;

     Planning menus and programs for approved monthly Quaker dinners as part of the fundraising committee.;

Phase I

     Expanding Friendly Lunch;

     Improve seating for movie night;

     Creating seating configurations for large groups;

Phase II

     Reaching out to SEYM to offer our meetinghouse as a “destination meeting;

     Hosting more outdoor activities; making better use of our eight-acre parcel;

Eventually Considering special uses for our meetinghouse.. Ex. quiet space for parents;
