Our Meeting house

Since 1994, Frederick Friends Meeting has worshipped at 723 North Market Street, a large red brick house near the City of Frederick's historic district. In our meeting room, we gather in a simple, unadorned space that invites the inward searching that is at the heart of Quaker worship. The children of our Meeting receive instruction in our two classrooms for First Day School (or Sunday School). After meeting for worship, we have refreshments and fellowship in our kitchen while the children play in the backyard—weather permitting, of course! Those interested in learning more about Quakerism can take advantage of our lending library.

Renting and Reserving Space

In addition to serving as a place for worship and other activities of the Meeting, our meeting house has office space and a residential apartment that we rent out. *At this time, all our rental units are occupied.*

Portions of the meeting house may also be reserved for occasional use by outside groups. To learn more about reserving space, see the Meetinghouse Use Policy. To see if the meeting house is available on a particular day, see the Meetinghouse Use Calendar
