The Quaker Meetings in the Boston region had a joint program on October 22 to share and learn about "outreach" or ways to invite people to try the Quaker spiritual journey. Emily Provence, from 15th Street Meeting in New York City, talked about using Facebook Ads as part of outreach. Beth Collea will help Friends form a "Quaker Outreach Collaborative" in the Boston area to combine our insights, energy, and resources going forward. The hope is to encourage each other, speed up the learning process, and open create possibilities for larger outreach initiatives than a single meeting could tackle. Quaker Outreach is invitational. It works best when it shows how the Quaker mode of inner listening can help newcomers live lives that feel resonant with what they know to be deeply right and true.
