NEYM Annual Sessions: On the cusp of transformation

Friends from New England, around the country, and Cuba gathered via Zoom for 9 days of worship, discernment, and attention to what Spirit is inviting us to become.  It was a Sessions like none before it, where the old agenda of dry business was dispensed with and we instead gathered to grapple with issues of challening the Empire of white supremacy within ourselves as individuals, as a religious body, and as a society.  We heard an Epsitle from Friends of Color from FGC; an invitation from our plenary speaker to imagine our liberation; Bible Half-hours that offered us a path to an Eco-reformation; a State of Society that queried us to look deeply within ourselves for the roots of racism; a call to action from the Racial Social and Economic Justic and Earthcare Witness committees; a letter of apology to Native Peoples of New England; and a series of speakers including Anna Lindo who grew up in our Meeting and spoke on a deeper understanding of the peace testimony.  Friends who could not attend can still tap into this experience through written materials and recordings available through the Yearly Meeting.  Click on the links below to view recordings and documents from Sessions.

Take some time to explore the recordings and writings of this gathering of New England Quakers' time together.  Where do they speak to you?
