October 29, 2017 Meeting For Learning - The Bouldings
This month we will discuss Kenneth and Elise Boulding. We will meet at 9:00, October 29, 2017 in the Teen Room of the Meeting House.
Kenneth Boulding was an economist, and Elise a sociologist. Both were also deeply committed Quakers and brought those values to their work.
We share four articles to support our discussion. The first two are brief biographic Wikipedia entries of each of the Bouldings. The third piece is Kenneth Boulding's 1966 article "The economics of the coming spaceship earth". The final reading is "Concentrating On Essence: From family to community to nation and biosphere, peace on our planet depends on the power of love - An Interview With Elise Boulding, by Alan AtKisson" .
