How to set up your Quaker Cloud account

Note: Even if you are computer-savvy, please read through step #1. Thanks.

Members and attenders at Farmington Friends may establish an account which will permit them to access certain content on our website. They may also access the Meeting's directory (still under construction) and search the Meeting's private minutes. Here is how.

1) On the Farmington Friend Church website's home page go to the lower right and click on "Request Access." You are asked if you have an FGC (Friends General Conference) account. If you are sure you have an account then use the "Sign in" link in the upper right corner of the home page to login. If you do not have an account with FGC then click on the link "Create one now." Click "OK" when told you will be navigating away from this page.

2) You should now be on the "Create an Account" page. Advantges of an account are explained. Go down the page to the big blue bold heading "Create Password". List your Email address. Then choose Email type from a drop down list. Fill in your name and then check "Include me in the Directory" (assuming you want to be in the online
Directory). You can click boxes for E-substriptions if desired. Fill in your address and phone number. I suggest you skip the "Volunteer Profile" link. Finally, there is
one of those weird boxes with squiggly lines consting of numbers and letters. Type in what you see as best you can (not case sensitive thankfully). If at first you don't
succeed, try again, and again if necessary! When you succeed a new page comes up.

3) You should see "Further instructions have been sent to your e-mail address." Go to your email and click the link (or paste the link into your browser.) This is a one time
login and will lead you to a page where you can set your password. Here is where you "Reset" your password to one you will use to log into the Farmington Friends Church
website. Fill in your new password in both boxes. (Please write down your password somewhere as I'm not sure how to recover it.) Now press "Login." A page on the FGC
website comes up basically saying you've jumped through all the hoops. Congratuations!

4) After you have completed the above you need to be patient for probably no longer than 24 hours as your request for an account clears a final hurdle which should be an easy one. Our website's Administrator (Webmaster), currently Gardner Soule, will receive an Email from FGC with your request which he will almost certinly approve! You will
receive an email from FGC after he has signed off on your request. Then, use the link in the upper right corner of the website to gain full member/attender website access.

Please let me know how this page can be improved or simplified! Thanks. Gardner Soule
