Worship & Picnic at Westtown School Lake

Birmingham is returning to Westtown School’s lake for worship and a picnic lunch on September 14! Worship at the fire circle will begin at 10 am and lunch by the lake will follow. First Day School students will worship with us for the first 15 minutes and will then go for a hike around the lake. Children should wear long pants and sneakers. Please bring bug spray, chairs and a side dish or dessert to share. Hamburgers, hot dogs and beverages will be provided. If you are unable to bring a dish please come anyway! There will be no child care at Birmingham Meeting on September 14. In case of rain meeting for worship and the picnic will take place at Birmingham Meeting.

Directions: to Westtown School, 975 Westtown Road, West Chester, PA 19382

From the intersection of 926 (Street Road) and 202: Proceed east on 926 2.1 miles to Westtown Road. Make a left onto Westtown Road (traffic light). The Main Entrance is approximately 0.8 miles on your right and just after you pass under a stone arch bridge.

From the intersection of 926 (Street Road) and Route 352: Proceed on 926 west to the traffic light for Westtown Road. Make a right onto Westtown Road. The Main Entrance is approximately 0.8 miles on your right, just after you pass under a stone arch bridge.

For All: Once you’ve entered the campus road, proceed straight ahead as far as you can go. Then turn left (only choice). Follow signs for “Field House and Pool” and for “Car and Bus Parking.” We will post “Birmingham” signs along the way and will have Friends standing out to show you where to park and where worship and the picnic spot are located.

*If you’re not able to walk from the parking area, you are free to park at the Fire Circle and then at the Lake. Just ask Friends to direct you when you arrive.

*If you’re dropping off people, chairs or food please proceed to the Fire Circle and/or Lake and then park in the parking area after unloading.
