We are seeking an energetic, caring, thoughtful Friend who enjoys working with young people (infants to high school) and their families.
Reporting to the clerks of Youth Ministries and Children’s Ministries, this person will work closely with the Youth Ministries and Children’s Ministries committees. The coordinator will provide spiritual nurturing, care for existing programs, develop new programs and provide clear communication within programs and with the Meeting. This person will be called on to lead programs and activities and listen thoughtfully to support the leadership of others. The coordinator plays a central role in making Durham Friends Meeting a welcoming multi-generational community and supportive spiritual home for youth and families. This role will go beyond coordination and include regular participation in programs in order to foster relationships with and among adult leaders, parents, children and youth.applications are due by September 20, 2017.
We are offering a salary of $18,000/year. The employee will be expected to work 20 hours/week, and 48 weeks/year, including Sunday mornings.
