Deer Creek Friends Meeting (Quakers)

Welcome to Deer Creek Friends Meeting!

Deer Creek Friends Meeting was established in 1737 and serves as one of the oldest meeting houses in the country.  Located in the agricultural village of Darlington, Maryland, our meeting continues to serve the needs of members and attenders from Northeastern Maryland and Southern Pennsylvania almost 300 years since its founding! We welcome you to join us in Meeting for Worship and Fellowship.  Please visit our webpage for more information on Activities and Events at http://www.deercreekmeeting.org/

  • We are a rural and small town community of people who gather for worship and fellowship on First Day (Sunday) mornings, who attempt to carry the experience of spiritual centeredness and guidance into our lives during the week.
  • All are welcome to join us as we worship in the traditional “unprogrammed” manner of Friends.  We have no ritual, liturgy, creed, or sermon, but we do share rich discussion and reflection during adult education time before we enter silent worship.
  • Our many activities are organized and conducted by members and attenders as volunteers. We have no paid staff. We welcome everyone to join us for a  community festival, book club, class, nature walk, film screening, or social gathering!

Please see our Calendar for Worship and Events under the About tab above! Welcome All!
