We are part of the worldwide Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), which began over 350 years ago in England. The Davis Friends Meeting is affiliated with the College Park Quarterly Meeting and Pacific Yearly Meeting.  Also, our Meeting (along with Sacramento Friends Meeting) is one of a small number of local Meetings in the US that is directly affiliated with the Friends General Conference in Philadelphia.

The Davis Friends Meeting provides financial and other support to Quaker organizations that are dedicated to peace and social justice:  The Friends Committee on Legislation advocates for California state laws that are just, compassionate and respectful of the inherent worth of every person. The Friends Committee on National Legislation is the largest peace lobby in Washington, D.C.  The American Friends Service Committee, founded by Quakers in 1917, carries out service, development, social justice, and peace programs throughout the world.

We also support Ben Lomond Quaker Center (a retreat center), Sierra Friends Center near Grass Valley, Friends House Moscow, the Quaker United Nations Office (QUNO) and the Friends World Committee on Consulation.
