While not a central text, The Christian Bible is an important book in Quakerism

Do Quakers Read The Bible?

The answer to this is, "Yes, many Quakers read the Bible." Quakerism is a Christian religion and you can't understand Quakerism without understanding its history as a Christian faith. However, there are many contemporary Quakers that do not consider themselves Christian. There are Universalist Quakers, Non-Theist Quakers, as well as many other flavors of belief within Quakerism. Despite this diversity, the Bible still remains an important, though not central, religious text for Quakers. This video will give you a brief explination of this perspective.
