Architect's picture of new meetinghouse

For more than forty years, Friends in the Northfield-Cannon Falls-Kenyon area of southeastern Minnesota have been gathering in private homes and in rental spaces.  Since 2011, Cannon Valley Friends Meeting has been led to begin preparations to build a new meetinghouse, a permanent home in a visible, accessible location.

Cannon Valley Friends Meeting envisions a new meetinghouse of modest size and simple design, built and maintained with a commitment to protecting our planet and its resources.  The new meetinghouse will provide space for worshiping, educating and nurturing children and adults, gathering, and supporting many future generations of Quakers and other seekers, as we strive to live our values and lovingly serve our community.

In the past two years, the Meeting has prioritized its needs, agreed on a vision, created a Development Committee, purchased a lot in downtown Northfield, hired an architect, and approved a building design.  Now we are in the midst of a capital campaign to raise the funds needed to begin construction.

We are grateful for your interest and welcome your support.
