Northfield Area Climate Summit

Honoring Mother Earth and helping protect our future

On January 18th, 2014, Meteorologist Paul Douglas will be the keynote speaker at the Northfield Area Summit on Climate Change, at Buntrock Commons, St. Olaf College.  His talk, “Climate Change: Natural Cycle or Troubling Trend”, will kick off a day filled with information, opportunity and action ideas.

Registration opens at 8:30 am, at Buntrock Commons, and Mr. Douglas' keynote speech is at 9:30. His talk will be followed by breakout sessions by scientists, activists, insurance experts and more, filling out the day.  The event is open to the public and admission is free.

A community conversation on the science of climate change, the impacts we might expect, and what we can do to make a better future for all, the event is expected to be the largest community-college-climate collaboration in Southern Minnesota history.  The Climate Summit is a unique opportunity to learn more about climate change and how it may impact our community.  If you have questions or doubts about Climate Change, or you want to learn about its impact on your business or your future, or you want to know what you can do to help reverse the trend, then this is the event for you.  Everyone is invited!

Pre-registration is required.  See www.northfieldclimatesummit.org for registration and schedule.
