Drumore Friends Meetinghouse and Cemetery:  Celebrating its 200th anniversary:   

October 1st  10 am – 3 pm:   Drumore township of Lancaster county. 

  • Starting at 10 AM we will offer self-guided tours of three historic Drumore homes / farms including Quaker Underground Railroad agent, Joseph Smith's barn.  

  • From Noon until 1 PM there will be a BBQ lunch at Susquehannock State Park.

  • At 1 PM the Anniversay Presentation will take place. At this time you will learn about the history of the Drumore Quakers and the meetinghouse.

  • At 2 PM we will have a dedication at the cemetery of memorial plaques to the African Americans buried in the Drumore Cemetery and to the Drumore Quakers who participated in the Underground Railroad.

  • From 10 AM to 3 PM we welcome you to visit the meetinghouse to view Historical exhibits, Exhibits of Modern day Quakers (presented by Lancaster Meeting), see Resource tables about Lancaster County Quakers, and the Drumore Friends Meeting and the Drumore Cemetery Association.
