The Brandywine River Museum of Art exhibited the work of Horace Pippin (1888-1946) during the summer of 2015. Pippin spent much of his life in West Chester and painted many local sites, including Birmingham Friends Meetinghouse.

The image to the left is a portion of Birmingham Meeting House III, one of four paintings Pippin completed of the meetinghouse between 1940 and 1942. Visit this link at wikiart.org to see the full image.
