We are completing our renovation of Helen Gander Hall (HGH formerly the Annex).

Our objective was to renovate HGH to meet the standards required by Connecticut Friends School, the state of CT for preschools, fix any current issues with HGH, and extend the useful life of the building.

We have made the building more environment friendly by replacing the roof, increasing insulation, converting to a more efficient HVAC system, and made other modifications to be more friendly to the CFS pre-school, as well as other prospective tenants.

Dear Friends,

Given the escalating COVID-19 virus situation, we have made some difficult decisions to balance our ability to worship as a community with the danger represented by even a few of us gathering to worship in person.  There is no guarantee that a person without symptoms is actually free of the virus, so we have chosen to err on the side of caution, especially given that many members of our Meeting are in age and health groups that pose extra risk.

Friend Peter Murchison was featured on FCNL Quaker Welcome Center online on Thursday, June 20, 2019. Peter is a member of Wilton Quaker Meeting, co-clerk of Ministry and Oversite and an outspoken advocate for gun violence prevention. He engages in this important work in honor of his nephew, Daniel Barden - one of the children who lost their lives in the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting.

Sunday, June 9, 2019 Purchase Quarter kicked off a new child-centered worship and fellowship for families. Scarsdale Meeting hosted this first gathering. We met for worship through a Faith & Play story on gifts and singing, played outside together and shared a simple meal. Children and their parents had fun and enjoyed connecting with one another. The next Quarterly Quaker Family Sunday Supper will be hosted by Wilton Meeting at the end of the summer. Families from within and beyond Purchase Quarter are welcome! Join us!
