With the addition of references to our influnces from Fellowship of Friends of African Descent, Trenton Meeting has approved this Racial Justice Minute on the Ninth Day of the Eighth Month 2020:

Racial Justice Minute

Approved 9 Eighth Month 2020

We were appalled and sickened by the brutal killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis on May 25, 2020 by a white police officer.  The fact that this has sparked a fire of outrage all over the country and the world indicates that it is time to finally end racial injustice.

A Minute in support of the nationwide 2020 Poor People's Campaign was approved at Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business on 10 Fifth Month 2020.

"Given the historic connection that Quakers have had to the Poor People’s Campaign and the continued need for a moral call toward economic, racial and environmental justice in the United States, Trenton Meeting of Friends in Trenton, New Jersey endorses the 2020 Poor People’s Campaign and encourages other Monthly Meetings in our Quarter and beyond to do the same.”
