What's going on at WKFM

Dear Friends,

On many First Days we have a second hour after our time in Silent Worship. January 16, 2022 our second hour was spent in gratitude and holding Friends in the Light.  The joys, challenges, gratitude, and requests for healing needs were especially meaningful to Friends as our time for celebrating and sharing can be pushed aside in our busy secular and spiritual lives.

During January and February of 2021 we will be exploring basic concepts embraced by Quakers.  The participants guide is available from the Friends General Conference Bookstore as a downloadable PDF document.  For more information about joining this group please use the "contacct us" button on the homepage or contact Anne Williams.

TedTalk Introduction: 3 Lessons of Revolutionary Love in a Time of Rage | Valarie Kaur

What's the antidote to rising nationalism, polarization and hate? In this inspiring, poetic talk from 2018, Valarie Kaur asks us to reclaim love as a revolutionary act. As she journeys from the birthing room to tragic sites of bloodshed, Kaur shows us how the choice to love can be a force for justice.

The second first day of each month beginning September 13 we will meet as a group for discussion on The Power of Now. Join us at 9 am using the zoom link for Meeting for Worship or use the Contact Us button on the home page to request more information.
