News & Announcements

Friends South West Burial Ground, and its two affiliated Quaker meetings -- Central Philadelphia Monthly Meeting, and Monthly Meeting of Friends of Philadelphia -- are shocked and saddened by the shooting incident which occurred during a burial at our grounds on March 4, 2021, resulting in the injury of two people.  We offer our prayers to all those affected, to their families and to the community.

CPMM will be hosting worship on Wednesday evenings from 7-8 pm through July 2021. We will highlight an individual at the beginning of the hour and ask them to talk about how they actually worship. We want to know what people concretely do, step by step. After hearing from them, we'll try and do it how they do it. Then we'll end with reflections on how that went. If you would like to attend, please email the CPMM office at office@cpmm.org

Friends-

The Committee on Worship and Ministry of Central Philadelphia Monthly Meeting is pleased to announce that, in support of our Meeting community, we will be offering a weekly online Meeting for Worship at 11 am on Sunday mornings. While we recognize that this will not be the same as gathering in person, we feel it is the right course of action in this time of national emergency. Our hope is to make our virtual worship experience as simple and as close to normal as possible.
