Live Oak Friends Meeting has taken the Spring Quaker Worship Group under its care, this acorn is convened by Richard Corl. Located in the North Houston area, Meeting for Worship will be sharing space with Plymouth United UCC, 5927 Louetta Rd, Spring, with a hybrid in-person / online Zoom meeting. 

Sunday mornings from 10:30-12 noon

Worship and sharing on Wednesday evenings 7:30-9pm.

Katharine Jager Rubinson has also published a book, just last month.  From the Amazon.com description:  "Vernacular Aesthetics in the Later Middle Ages explores the formal composition, public performance, and popular reception of vernacular poetry, music, and prose within late medieval French and English cultures.

Ty Cashion, long time attender at Live Oak Friends Meeting, published another book this past fall on Texas history.  Goodreads begins its description thus: "There is the story the Lone Star State likes to tell about itself—and then there is the reality, a Texas past that bears little resemblance to the manly Anglo myth of Texas exceptionalism that maintains a firm grip on the state’s historical imagination.
