A historic marker dedication took place on September 24, 2020, at the Cox-Phillips-Mitchell House at 1655 Old Wilmington Rd. This property, located north of the meetinghouse, is possibly Hockessin’s oldest building (built 1726) and is where Hockessin Friends Meeting got its start (in 1730), as the house was the location of meeting for worship before the meetinghouse was built.
