Hi: Wanted to let you know, Maya Wright, that our Friends Meeting in Salinas, CA performed your skit (Quaker History in 10 Easy Points) as our introduction to Quaker History during our religious education hour.today, Feb. 5 2012. We did it as written--the audience became the players (there were exactly 12 of us!) I gave each of us a copy of the script for each scene in which we appeared. I'm proud that our group knew how to improvise, because it was a surprise to everybody (except my wife and me) that they would actually be IN the skit. We are thinking now of performing it at a March retreat that we have with nearby Santa Cruz Friends Meeting. Thanks for your creative efforts, Maya...people enjoyed it AND they learned something...a great way to start our Quakerism 101 course. By the way, we kept in the Earlham College reference in Scene 5. Both of our daughters, Nancy and Nora Richman, attended and graduated from Earlham: Nancy in 2005 and Nora in 2009.
Sincerely,
Jeff Richman, Live Oak Friends Meeting, Pacific YM, Salinas CA 93905
