Playing in the Light - a how-to Godly Play Workshop for Quakers

Date: May 15, 2009 - Dec 31, 1969

Location: Pendle Hill - Wallingford, PA

Are you looking for a dynamic, Quaker-friendly approach to religious education and the Bible that is open-ended and that honors the spiritual lives of children?
Are you looking for a curriculum for children between the ages of 3 and 12 that offers consistency, meaningful engagement and rich pay-off to both teachers and children?
Are you looking for material that can also be used effectively in multigenerational settings?
We are convinced the Montessori-inspired approach known as Godly Play® is all of these and more, and we are excited about it!
Please read on...
This is not a method one can run with just from reading a lesson plan or from seeing a demonstration. Godly Play® requires considerable training, and Friends General Conference would love to provide it for you in a richly worshipful, nurturing context. Please consider setting aside a weekend with us and registering with Pendle Hill for this workshop. Workshop fees will include all instruction, housing and meals, and there will also be a commuter option. Mark your calendar now, remember this exciting opportunity at budget time, and keep your eyes and ears open for more news.
