Help Spread the Word about the Gathering in Normal!
Registrations for the upcoming Gathering of Friends are arriving steadily and we'd like to direct the attention of Friends everywhere to the information on page 8 of the Advance Program. Junior Gathering this year has a very exciting space--an on campus elementary school, complete with a gym, auditorium, three playgrounds, and a pool! With these terrific facilities in mind, the committee planned several mixed grade theme groups for children currently in kindergarten through 7th grade. The whole Gathering will participate in worship activities that Junior Gathering is planning.

Friends should not let expense keep them from considering the Gathering. There is nearly $40,000 in financial aid still available as scholarships and workgrants. First Time Attenders to Gathering with funding from their monthly and/or yearly meetings are eligible for matching grants. There are also unrestricted General Scholarship funds available for attenders to the Gathering. Scholarship requests are filled on a first come, first served basis until funds are exhausted. No scholarship money can be "reserved," it must be requested with a completed registration form. The deadline for financial aid requests is May 13th. For additional information about scholarship or workgrants please contact the FGC office.
