This collection of 45 short stories, by authors as diverse as Victor Hugo and the committee itself, not only teaches Quaker values but shows how they apply to real life experiences. They are grouped under five values: 1) Courage and Nonviolence, 2) The Power of Love, 3) Acts of Loving Service, 4) Fairness and Equality and 5) Belonging and Care of the Earth. Each story illustrates a positive use of these Quaker values, and they are both interesting and upbeat. These stories may be incorporated into a number of different first day school curricula for children between the ages of 7 and 12.For More Information:
