Worship and Bible Half-Hour

Worship

We meet at the center when we worship together.  Worship opportunities abound at the Gathering.

The All-Gathering Welcome and Worship on Sunday night will provide a joyful welcome for all of us, young and old, and also remind us that we are at the gathering to deepen our relationship with the Spirit.

Closing Worship Saturday morning can help send us home renewed.

Throughout the week, other daily opportunities for worship are scheduled, including outdoor early morning worship under the care of Quaker Earthcare Witness, late afternoon worship under the care of Friends for Lesbian, Gay, Transgender and Queer Concerns (FLBGTQC), daily semi-programmed worship under the care of Christian Friends, and the simple Shabbat service offered by Jewish Friends late Friday evening. Friends receive a detailed list of worship-related activities upon arrival at the Gathering.

The Silent Place is a room where quiet and materials help support personal reflection away from the busy energy of the Gathering.

There are many peaceful spots around the campus. Singing, dancing, and chatting with Friends of all ages can be relaxing, inspirational, and even worshipful.

May these many opportunities for worship at the Gathering enrich your life, refresh your spirit, and nurture you so that you may be transformed as you return to your daily life.

Bible Half-Hour

"I realized there were a great many bones in the valley and they were very dry." (Ezekiel 37:2)

Using Biblical scholarship, theater, and comedy, quirky, queer, Quaker Peterson Toscano will  breathe life into ancient stories. He will introduce Friends to individuals often overlooked in the Bible—Black eunuch saviors, cross-dressing patriarchs and other gender non-conforming  people

The Bible Half-Hour takes place Monday-Friday 8-8:30 am.
