Description
Leader Experience:

I have led this workshop for 10 years. I also teach knitting at local yarn shops and galleries. I have had my work exhibited in various shows.

Short Description:

Worship together through knitting our own projects and a square to join into an afghan to be donated as we choose. Bring 1 ball of worsted-weight yarn, size 9 needles, and your own projects (or try some of mine). Bring writing to share which inspires you. No knitting experience necessary.

Long Description:

We will share the spiritual experience which knitting can inspire as we knit an afghan comprised of 8 inch squares. The number of squares will help determine the size or number of afghans which we can make. Any knitting techniques can be taught. During our daily worship, we will read writings which inspire our creativity and spirituality (whether about fiber craft or not). Crocheters are welcome, but I do not have the expertise to teach crochet.

This is a laid-back, relatively unstructured workshop which welcomes part-timers for a respite from the over-scheduled lives most of us lead.
