Workshops

For many attenders, workshops are the heart of the Gathering.  Friends gather in a small group that meets throughout the week to deeply explore a topic, within an immersive atmosphere of sharing, trust, and respect.

The size of workshops vary from 8 to 50 people -- most are about 20.  Many workshops are primarily experiential.  Topics vary from spiritual development to Quaker history or theology, from yoga to creativity, and more. Workshops include worship or worship sharing each day.

Teens and adults choose one workshop which meets every morning throughout the week.  Each year, selected workshops welcome the participation of part-time attenders, subject to space limitations.

These daily sessions form a grounding mini-community throughout the week, building strong relationships and connections among Friends from all parts of the US and Canada.
