Half-Gathering Option (Adults only)

For the first time, adult Friends may choose to register for half of the Gathering and choose on-campus housing.
There are two half-Gathering options:

• arrive Sunday July 1 and depart Wednesday July 4. (This option is currently full. See information below about a waiting list.) OR
• arrive Wednesday July 4 and depart Saturday July 7.

Friends choosing the first half may arrive early (extra fees apply). Half-Gathering meal plans include Sunday dinner through Wednesday lunch OR Wednesday lunch through Saturday breakfast. The “cafeteria lunch plus a cooperatively cooked dinner” option is not available to half-Gathering registrants. On-campus housing is available. Doubles are available only to those registering with a roommate for the same half-Gathering. Housing Cluster preferences will be accommodated on a space available basis after housing full-time registrants. Workshops: Choose a workshop open to part-timers, or see the Gathering website for up-to-date information about other workshops open to half-Gathering registrants.

As spaces in the first Half-Gathering open due to a cancellation, they will be filled from the waiting list. Then, on May 25, the Conference Coordinator will decide whether to expand the number of first Half Gathering registrants at the Gathering. At that time, she will contact everyone on the waiting list to let them know whether or not they may register for the First Half-gathering. New registrations or modifications to existing registrations should be completed by May 31 to avoid additional fees. It seems likely that Friends on the waiting list will be able to register for the Half-Gathering.

While you wait to learn whether you may register for the first Half Gathering, you may meanwhile register for the full Gathering, for the second Half Gathering, as a part-time registrant, or not register at all.

Payments and Deposits

Deposits: The minimum deposit is the Program Fee(s) for your
party, due when you register. However, if you are applying for financial
aid from your meeting or from FGC, a deposit is due after you learn of aid granted. Deposits and other payments received by June 21 may be made by credit/debit card, electronic check, or paper
check. FGC pays twice the fees for reward cards. Whenever possible,
avoid Visa Signature Preferred and Mastercard World Cards.

Payments at University of RI: The balance due must be paid in
full by cash or check during check-in; credit/debit cards will not be
accepted.

Canadian Payments: Payments made in Canadian dollars will be
credited with the prevailing exchange rate at our financial institution
on the day of deposit.

Additional Fees and Surcharges

• Registrant-initiated changes to meal plans or housing after May 31: $15.
• University fees for lost room keys and electronic cards, room damages, and lockouts will be charged to the registrant.
• Returned check fees will be charged to the registrant.
