Infants through Toddlers

Youngest Friends (Group A)

Joanne Clapp FullagarJoanne Clapp FullagarThe youngest among us spend their mornings pretty much as they would if they were at home. Each infant has a personal care giver who typically remains consistent throughout the week and who will see to it that each child's needs are met on the schedule that works best for that family. Feeding, diapering, napping, nurturing and comforting make up the bulk of the morning and evening. Help us prepare to give your child the best possible week by sharing with us joys, struggles, achievements, challenges and/or recent significant changes in your child's life. You can rest assured that your child is being cared for lovingly as you attend your morning workshop or evening plenary.

Toddlers (Group B)

Joanne Clapp FullagarJoanne Clapp FullagarToddlers have a 2 :1 child to caregiver ratio and spend their mornings in a variety of spirited outdoor activities, such as water play, ball play, and tricycle (car, fire engine!) riding. Toddlers will sing songs and hear stories and make beautiful crafts. Toddlers partake in a healthy snack, typically fresh locally grown fruit (when possible), fruit juice, cheese and crackers. Those toddlers who still take a morning nap will be accommodated. Please be sure to tell us of any special dietary needs or preferences. Help us prepare to give your child the best possible week by sharing with us joys, struggles, achievements, challenges and/or recent significant changes in your child's life. You can indicate these on your Parental Release form or by email to patsym@fgcquaker.org.

Label these with your name!

You can rest easy knowing that your toddler's needs for fresh air, nutritious food and rest are being met.

What to Bring for the Youngest Friends

We depend on local Friends and parents for the toys for the week, so we ask that each child bring something to share. Blocks, small toy animals, vehicles, soft throwing toys, big crayons, paints, and water toys would be wonderful additions to our program. Please clearly label anything you wish to take home at the end of the week.

In addition to toys for sharing, we ask that each child bring a hat, stroller, non-spillable cup or bottle, security blanket or other item (if needed), rain gear, diapers (if needed), and swim suit (unless your child prefers to "skinny dip"). If you wish your child to use insect repellant & sunscreen please send it with him or her. If you have a "port-a-crib" or travel "play-pen", this would also be a useful addition to our classroom space.

Label what you bring with your name!

Open House: Sunday evening at 6:45 for Groups A - J. This is a time for you and your child to come and get acquainted with the caregivers/staff and the other children. Coordinators will discuss their plans and expectations for the week. Parents and/or Responsible Parties will be asked to list those adults who have permission to sign out their child. If permission has not been granted, your child will not be released. If you forget to share special needs with us ahead of time, Open House is a good time to share dietary or other needs with the Group Coordinator. Help us prepare to give your child the best possible week by sharing with us joys, struggles, achievements, challenges and/or recent significant changes in your child's life. You can indicate these on your Parental Release form or by email to patsym@fgcquaker.org.
