FGC Nurturing Quakerism Campaign
Nearing Its Goal

With five months left to go, the FGC Nurturing Quakerism Campaign has reached $1,900,000 on its way to the $2,000,000 goal! We are very excited to be coming down the last stretch of this significant effort for Friends General Conference. Please help us to meet and exceed our important goals.

At its heart the FGC Nurturing Quakerism Campaign is about strengthening meetings and following the leadings of the Spirit. FGC has undertaken new programs and services in response to the requests and leadings of Friends. Large numbers of Friends, mostly volunteers with the support of a small but effective staff, are implementing these programs because they care deeply about the vitality of unprogrammed Quakerism.

The Nurturing Quakerism Campaign is making possible several new programs:

  • FGC Traveling Ministries Program
  • Annual Young Quakes Conferences
  • Small Conferences in Different Regions of North America
  • Expanded work in Religious Education and Publications
  • FGConnections newsletter
  • FGC's expanded websites, www.fgcquaker.org and www.quakerbooks.org
We are very grateful for the wonderful efforts of more than one hundred volunteers and the generous contributions of more than one thousand donors that have brought us this far. Individual Friends and monthly and yearly meetings have made very substantial gifts because of the importance of FGC's services to Friends.

We are planning a suitable celebration for the completion of the Campaign to be held at the 2002 Annual Gathering. We hope you can be with us. If you would like more information, please contact Michael Wajda, FGC's Associate Secretary for Development and Interpretation, at 215-561- 1700, michaelw@fgcquaker.org.
