Friendly Woman's New Home
Every two to three years the publication finds a new geographic home. It is currently located in Southern Appalachian Yearly Meeting and Association (SAYMA). Due to the Internet the production team is disbursed among women in Canada and Belize. Friendly Woman welcomes others who are led to be part of this innovative experience. For more information about subscriptions, submissions and correspondence con-tact: Friendly Woman, 1106 Caldwell Lane, Nashville, TN 37204 or E-mail: pennywright@earthlink.net.

Quaker Youth Pilgrimage
The Quaker Youth Pilgrimage (QYP) is a cooperative summer program for Young Friends, aged 16-18, sponsored by Friends World Committee for Consultation, Section of the Americas and the Europe/Middle East Section. QYP 2000 will run for four weeks, from July 14 to August 12. Highlights include crossing the Irish Sea, touring George Fox Country (in the Lake District of England), and an Irish Workcamp.

This is a chance for 28 Young Friends from the Americas, Europe and the Middle East to live, travel, work, and worship with one another; to experience cultural and theological differences; to find unity and community within the group; and to recognize their own spiritual growth.

To obtain an application form, request one from Judy Banks at the FWCC/Section of the Americas office: 1506 Race Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102 USA. E-mail: Judyb@fwcc.quakter.org.

New Year Brings New Opportunities for Youth
Efforts are underway to help make it easier for Pacific Yearly Meeting Junior and Young Friends to attend FGC's Annual Gathering, which will take place Juyl 1-8, 2000 at the University of Rochester, New York. Pacific Yearly Meeting is in the process of seasoning a recommendation that the yearly meeting establish a scholarship fund for this purpose.

Arthur Carpenter reports about his experiences: "FGC['s Gathering]* is a great place for Quaker youth to experience Quakerism. I've been attending for the past four years and I have enjoyed every year more than the previous. The numbers and diversity of the people at FGC['s Gathering] is astonishing. That is the first thing that anyone will notice, but after a day or two you will notice a number of other wonderful things. The people are so very nice and the High School program is very well organized."

*Editor's note: Although it is quite common to refer to the Annual Gathering of Friends as FGC, Friends General Conference is trying hard to make a clear distinction between the two and to let Friends know that FGC is more than our Annual Gathering.
