Eileen Flanagan

Unfortunately, our original speakers, Kumi Naidoo, has had to cancel due to a death in the family. We are excited to welcome Eileen Flanagan as our Thursday evening plenary speaker.

Eileen Flanagan will speak as led about the ways she sees the Spirit moving among Friends in our social and eco-justice witness, how the concerns we carry are interrelated, and the role of courage and community in making our work more powerful in the wider world.

Eileen Flanagan is the author of The Wisdom to Know the Difference: When to Make a Change—and When to Let Go, which was endorsed by the Dalai Lama and won the Silver Nautilus Book Award. Her forthcoming book, Renewable, is about the midlife spiritual crisis that led her to join Earth Quaker Action Team, where she now serves as clerk of the board. She is a member of Chestnut Hill Monthly Meeting in Philadelphia.
