Using Worship in Song: A Friends Hymnal
The title Worship in Song was revealed to the Hymnal Oversight Committee as it considered the purpose of this hymnal. For many Friends, music is an important component of individual and corporate worship. Here are some suggestions to make Worship in Song a valuable part of your spiritual life:
- It can be used by individuals or a group to prepare for meeting for worship.
- There are many texts within these pages that can be used in personal meditations.
- First Day School teachers and leaders will find resources to enhance their classes.
- Prayer groups, clearness committees, or meetings for healing will find supportive texts.
We hope that Friends will find many opportunities for deepening and widening our spiritual lives as they discover the treasures within the covers of Worship in Song.
