Diversity Work
The staff of FGC have been working to understand the issues and dynamics that diversity creates within our staff and among Quakers for several years now.
With the work of the Ministry on Racism program, a staff retreat on diversity and the beginnings of regular all-staff exercises to raise awareness of the ways that race, class and power dynamics are at play within the organization, FGC has recently formed a diversity committee which is carrying this work forward.
Central Committee members (and others) are invited to comment on steps they are taking to educate themselves and engage with diversity-related concerns by going to the Diversity Engagement Comment Page.
